POST OFFICE HOTEL || STACEY AND MICHAEL
Melbourne Wedding Videography
Michael and Stacey’s wedding was all about keeping things fun, relaxed, and totally them. Having already officially tied the knot earlier in the year, their day was focused on celebrating with their closest friends and family—and making sure everyone had an amazing time.
Michael and Stacey’s story started at Village Cinemas at The Jam Factory, where they met as coworkers. Over time, their friendship grew into something more, fueled by their shared love of movies. Being huge cinephiles, it’s no surprise that films play a big role in their lives. Michael likened their relationship to the indie hit Good Time, while Stacey sees it more like the timeless romance As Good As It Gets. Either way, their connection is uniquely their own, and their wedding day reflected that perfectly.
Instead of a traditional winery wedding, Michael and Stacey went with The Post Office Hotel. The venue has a cozy, unmistakably Melbourne vibe that fit their style to a tee. It was all about creating a space where everyone could relax, enjoy great food, and have a genuinely good time.
As a Melbourne wedding videographer, I love working at venues like The Post Office Hotel. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it easy to capture those candid, authentic moments that make a wedding so special.
Michael and Stacey were clear from the start: they wanted their wedding to be fun. No stuffy traditions, just a day filled with laughter, love, and plenty of good food. Their energy was infectious, and the whole day felt like one big celebration.
Working alongside the brilliant photographer Jackson Grant, we made sure to capture all the little moments that brought their day to life—from the heartfelt speeches to the packed dance floor under the pergola.
When they reached out to us at Yaya Films, Michael and Stacey were looking for something different from the usual wedding video. They didn’t want slow-mo shots of walking through fields; they wanted something upbeat and fun that matched the vibe of their day.
We focused on capturing the real moments—those spontaneous bursts of laughter, the joy on their faces, and the way their guests came together to celebrate with them. It was all about telling their story in a way that felt honest and true to who they are.
Michael and Stacey, thank you for letting us be part of your celebration. It was a joy to film your wedding and see how much love and effort you put into making the day so memorable for everyone.
If you’re planning your own celebration and looking for a Post Office wedding videographer or a Melbourne wedding videographer who gets your vibe, we’d love to chat. At Yaya Films, it’s all about capturing your day your way.
